• What does OEM mean?
  • OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. The OEM of your printer could be, for example, Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Canon and Epson.
  • How long do remanufactured cartridges last?
  • They are guaranteed to perform as well as, or better than, the original OEM cartridges .
  • Why recycle inkjet and toner cartridges?
  • More than 500 million OEM toner and inkjet cartridges are manufactured every year. If these cartridges are not diverted from our landfills, this equates to almost 1,000 tons of unnecessary pollution. In addition to this potential waste, more than three quarts of oil are consumed during the manufacturing of every OEM cartridge. This equates to more than 375,000,000 gallons of oil consumed every year to make toner and inkjet cartridges. Remanufactured cartridges use a recycled "empty" which reduces the amount of non-biodegradable waste in our landfills.
  • I bought a printer recently but didn't realise the cartridges would cost so much, can you help me?
  • Yes. This is a common complaint from customers. Printer manufacturers depend on you purchasing replacement cartridges for your printer. This is why printers are now so cheap to buy or even free, but the cartridges costs are huge. We can help by refilling your cartridges and offering your huge savings. In addition, many printers are sold with cartridges that contain very little ink. Often we can refill these cartridges to a much higher volume meaning they will last much longer.

  • Is the print quality from a refill as good as a new cartridge?
  • In many cases the quality can be better. You must remember however that you are reusing a product that has been designed for single use. Wear and tear does happen and after refilling a number of times the quality will diminish. If the quality is not to the Cartridge Green standard, we will inform the customer and show them a test print. We always have replacement cartridges in store so you will always be able to print.
  • Will I save money by refilling?
  • You can save 20- 50% off OEM cartridge prices by refilling inkjet cartridges and purchasing remanufactured toner cartridges. Inkjet cartridges can be refilled 8 – 10 times without degrading quality. Your business can save thousands of dollars each year.
  • Can my cartridge be refilled?
  • The vast majority of inkjet and laser cartridges can be refilled or remanufactured. There are thousands of different printer cartridges on the market so the quickest way to find out is to call one our stores directly and give them the make and model of your cartridge and they'll be able to tell you straight away.
  • Does the ink supplies indicator on my printer work?
  • Ink supplies indicators can be notoriously inaccurate. Infoprint has come across many instances where indicators showing ink empty still have a considerable amount of ink in the cartridges and indicators showing that ink is remaining are actually empty! Cartridge Green always recommends to our customers that the best indicator of when a cartridge is running low is a physical deterioration in the print quality on the page that is printed. When you notice this, bring the cartridge to us immediately and do not continue to print as to do so may damage the print head irreparably. Infoprint can also advise customers on how to override ink supplies indicators on your printer to ensure a message does not continuously appear on your screen about low ink levels.
